Data collected when you register

When you create an account on egum.com, we collect:

• Your email address — used as your login and for service communications
• Your company domain — derived from your email address and used as your EGUM handle

We require a company email address. Personal email addresses (Gmail, Hotmail, and similar) are not accepted.

Data collected when you apply for certification

When you submit a certification application, we collect the business details you provide, including:

• Legal business name and trading name
• Business registration number and jurisdiction
• Country of operation
• Applicant name, job title, and contact email
• Business website and any supporting notes submitted with the application

This information is used solely to assess and administer your application. It is not shared with third parties.

Analytics

egum.com uses two analytics tools:

• Plausible Analytics — a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service. No personal data is collected. No cross-site tracking. Data is aggregated and anonymous. Plausible privacy policy
• Microsoft Clarity — a session behaviour tool used to understand how visitors navigate the site. Clarity does not collect personally identifiable information. Microsoft privacy statement

Neither tool uses cookies or tracks you across other websites.

Cookies

egum.com does not set any tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookies set are strictly necessary session cookies used for login authentication. These are not used for tracking and are deleted when your browser session ends.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely on Microsoft Azure infrastructure within the European Union. Access is restricted to EGUM staff. We use HTTPS on all pages and apply industry-standard security practices.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or as required to operate the certification service. You may request deletion at any time.

Your rights

Under GDPR and applicable EU law, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Object to processing or request restriction
• Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
